Factory Style Steering Coupler

Postby 71vegadan » Sun Jul 01, 2018 9:47 am

Does anybody sell the factory style steering box coupler for a 1976 2.3L Sunbird with manual steering? Mine seems a little loose so I'd like to replace it. Or can it be replaced with a rag joint? Thanks, Dan.

72-86 Jeep CJ5 used a similar coupler for which you can get the boot and internal parts. Rag joints have a slightly larger OD and the rubber section may not like the heat if you have tubular headers.
I used a Flaming river U-joint type coupler, Measure and count the splines before ordering as there were different sizes over the years.
