Postby mldeolde » Mon Nov 26, 2018 10:47 pm

looks like I need to find a power steering center link and pitman arm. any one have one of each of these that they can part with for a reasonable sum???? I can get a deal on a new steering box but before I buy it I need to know that I can get the rest of the parts. thanks all. :?

can anyone tell me the length and hole specs for the power steering pitman arm. also if they are the same for manual and power boxes. am getting contradicting info from different sources. got a cpp 400 power steering box and they say with there box I cannot use a vega pitman on their boxes. they say to use a pitman arm from a GM 525/605 box. this box has a 32-4 output shaft and a 3/4-30 input shaft. so if I do end up buying one I get the right length, hole spaceing, and hole specs.

Bruce, I suggest you send an email to Clyde with your questions. He can check out the GM part numbers for you and possibly after market parts as well. cjbiagi@yahoo.com

I believe the 525 box is the manual for the larger cars (except the small Vega box, in other words). That being the case, you'll need a pitman arm from a Cosworth or a late Monza/Sunbird/Skyhawk/Starfire with the large manual steering box.
