interior plastics

Postby AusRs » Sat Jun 16, 2007 11:15 pm

one of my main pieces was very flexible BUT had some flaking on it
i scraped all of the "dry" plastic of and rubbed it back ,in doing so lost all of the graining effect on a large portion of the panel
the restoration is relatively easy

i bought a product that is used to re establish the grain in a bumper bar after it has been repaired

wash panel with scouring pad till its all mat finish then plastic prime
4 coats of the bumper bar paint and it looks brand new again

not much point in naming brands as the aussie product will i am sure have a different name to the usa product

btw you need a compressor for this as it is not available in rattle cans
