Ok lets try to make this easy to understand
there are 2 parts to the dash the upper padded part and the lower plastic part
you are asking about the lower hard plastic part in a monza
1975 cars had there own dash design and were hard wired to the gauges and have there own shape. Upper and lower.
!976 to 80 dashes upper and lower will interchange . How ever in these years there were 2 styles of lowers .
1 having a big speedo and large fuel gage and warning lights. ( basic Dash)
2 having a big speedo a tach with a small fuel gage along with temp, volt gauges and possibly a clock ( rally dash)
Yes both these dashes will bolt in equally but the wiring is different and so is the design of the instrument cluster hold down holes to hold the gages along with the printed circuit board on the back .
One can change from the basic to rally dash if you want to do the re wiring and change the temp sender.
Also there are basic 2 styles of uppers AC and non AC
one can convert a non AC to an Ac upper but not the other way around.
There there is the trim options on the lower dash wood grain , plain jane, polished aluminum
also there is different trim options on the upper dash above the glove box also
Now that I have shared all I know on dashes I hope it helps you in your endeavor and is easy to understand
If you need pics I can supply or if you need a lower dash I can supply that also.
