good company for chrome plating ?

Postby monzabug350 » Thu Mar 31, 2011 12:06 pm

My chrome trim for the windows/fenders is in fair condition with the usual scratches/dents,the sill plates are also in the same condition.Looking for a company that will do a good job at a fair price.Any help is appreciated.

Keep in mind that none of the trim on Monza's were ever chrome plated. They can be chromed but chroming is not cheap today due to stringent EPA regulations put on chrome platers. Most of the trim is anodized aluminum which can be stripped and refinished. The sill plates are bare aluminum. I have done a fair amount of refininishing of aluminum and you can achieve excellent results. You also have the option of having the parts reanodized (Bright Dip) or just keep the parts polished. Here's a couple places that are known for their quality but be prepared to pay.

I have done some polishing for a few folks, depends what shape the parts are in especially the sill plates. cjbiagi@yahoo.com
