Bobrsss brought up something I have been trying to get an answer to , where is the proper jacking point on a v8 vega front end , I have been told to jack under the engine on the cross member , I want to work on my front brakes etc , so what do I do so as not to do any damage ? Ok guys whats the right way .
If I jack the front end up I always do it under the lower control arm. That way you are putting very little stress on the chassis and the tire lifts off the ground right away as you don't have to wait for the spring to unload.
Makes sense , as I wasn't looking forward to lifting the car by the front cross member . I really appreciate all the help I have been giving on the forum with my vega questions .I am a new vega owner and I am sure I will have a lot of future questions Thanks guys
