Peter, when these cars were new they were painted with a flex agent. However the internet forums say that modern paints don't need this, but the answers will range wildly as to what to do! I would go to the auto body supply house and listen to them and then read the manufacturers site and recommendations as they know their product best! Then go from there. Here are a few products for your perusal. and a few in one spot. ... paign=(roi)+aerosol+spray+paints&utm_content=adhesion+promoter&utm_term=adhesion%20promoter&utm_creative=e Remember to use all ONE Brand of product from the same line of goods. I am not sure what brands are popular/available in Europe. Let us know how it turns out Harry

I agree with Harry, it also depends upon what type of paint you are using. My car is done with acrylic lacquer which is pretty hard to come by these days. I did use the flex additive that is merely added to the paint mixture. Otherwise it's pretty much the same as painting the rest of the car. With the newer paints you may or may not need the flex additive, I am not sure since I didn't use that paint on my Monza.
