Have to repair the front valance on Vega which is polyethylene. In 2 pcs. and a hole with missing plastic in one corner.

Found this repair system and I like it so far.It is specially made for olefin plastics.

First wet sanded parts with 400 wet and some cleaner then scrubbed with some TSP

The pcs. came out dull and water did not bead on it.If it did the plastic may need a heating process that raises out the oils so they can wiped away with alcohol and paint adheres.
Check out 'heating polyethylene' U tube.
the first step in the Tech-Bond System is to apply the Poly Prep primer to the cracked area, let dry and repeat
Image
Then apply glue to the cracked areas and press together tightly.I added some reinforcement to the back side area with some surgical tape saturated in the bonding glue as recommended by manufacturer

Working well so far so moved to corner hole repair.First sprayed Poly Prep Primer on area and corner crack then put surgical tape inside of corner

The filling system procedure is putting drops of SI glue into the corner and sprinkling their silica sand filler until saturated then repeating to build the needed fill amount.

Forewarning that when this fill dries it is hard as a stone and took a while with a lot of sandpaper to level to contour.Try not to over build it.
Even with all that sanding it did not separate or move but held solid even when drilled.

Filled all other cracks with 2 apps primer and glue successfully
