shifter knob

Postby monzacoupe » Wed Nov 02, 2016 12:06 am

Has anyone got a suggestion for tightening up a four-speed shifter knob? Mine looks good but spins on the shaft a little too much. I was thinking of a couple of ways to tighten it...1) remove it, then pack it with a construction glue then put it back on. 2)somehow jam a section of wire up into the base while spinning the knob hopefully locking it into place.

Any other ideas?

I'd like to know also. I've tried teflon tape but it didn't last.
