Get your dash lens scratches **Cleaned UP**

Postby littlevega56 » Thu Jun 29, 2006 11:04 am

OK,
For all of you that want to cleanup your plastic dash lens. Try this, Mothers mag&aluminum polish& california gold. I rubbed out my 72 vega lens for 10 to 15 min with the mag polish. Then switched to the gold cleaner wax. You will be amazed to where all the little scratches went. You can use your own brands of polish. But this works for me. And im not chip foose. Hey! maybe you should try the power ball. HA HA HA just jokein Ya! littlevega56...  :nurse:

Huh, Mothers Mag Polish? Never woulda thunk it. Have to keep that in mine. My lense was in pretty good shape... besides sitting half in the sun for years, and having 3/6 gauge lenses fade to yellow!

Take it from a 30 year vet Body Man. Motorcycle Windshield Scratch remover works better than ANYTHING done here! It takes of haze and scratches and makes them look brand new. It's easy to do, way easier than polishing!

Bigtab,
Is there a brand name you could recommend?

Anyone used Meguiar's clear lens polish and detailer products?
'72 Vega with '93 Camaro LT1/M29 T56/12 bolt 3.31. 16" IROCs all around. Sanderson headers into duals with an H-pipe and Flowmasters. It's loud but at least it's faster than your grandma's Buick. pwned.

Works fabulous. So does the equivalent 3M plastic polish.

Used Meguiar's " PlastX " that I found at Walmart for about $ 4.50 on my sun faded and yellow 90 pickup's plastic headlights and turn signal lens and it brought them back to like new . Saved me about $150 on new ones. Doug in Az 8)
