Precisely, how do I determine if the water pump on my 305 Mirage is long or short?

I never knew what the mounting hole on top of the water pump casting was for until I got my monza with a/c. Funky alternator bracket attachment.

It depends on the manifold, you are going to have to look to see if it has the necessary thread bosses. Most newer manifolds do, but older ones may not, but you still have to check to be sure.

if by chance you don't know where everything is suppose to mount you will have to get a picture or diagram of the a/c mounting points.

If it is an airgap the alt bracket will need a little grinding on the tab that mounts to the manifold (came with my Spyder)
