Barn Find

Postby IMSA Monza » Sat Feb 05, 2011 12:57 am

Me and my friend found an IMSA Monza in a barn last year. The guy told us he didnt know what it was besides it being a 75 Monza with big flares on it. I had to have it. It has nice paint, roll cage, race suspension, fuel cell, and the rest of the racing goodies. He didn't have a log book or any history on it. I was just looking for a cool open track car so that was ok,(I guess). He just wanted to get rid of it so I was happy to take it off his hands. We brought it home and cleaned it up and up dated it to the later DeKon body work. We are now in the process of putting a bad boy motor in it and hopefully it will be ready for the track this summer. Now if I could figure how to put some pics on this post I would show you this gem. I can send some pics via email if you want to look at them in the
mean time.

I've never seen a bulkhead behind the seats like that. Great looking car though.

Oh em gee.

You lucky bastard.
'72 Vega with '93 Camaro LT1/M29 T56/12 bolt 3.31. 16" IROCs all around. Sanderson headers into duals with an H-pipe and Flowmasters. It's loud but at least it's faster than your grandma's Buick. pwned.

In responce to Rpoz-29 about the bulkhead behind the seat. I was told that Trans AM required the bulkhead. I have seen some TA cars of the time that had the bulkhead. Don't know if they still require it.
