Monza Newbie

Postby BigDaddyChump » Sat Oct 04, 2014 7:43 pm

FIrst post on the forum, and a newbie to the Monza. I am in the process of building a Monza sport coupe for road racing duty in ChumpCar. We have raced: BMW, Porsche, Mercedes and Audi (all old POS' btw) and I am looking forward to actually racing something that the local auto zone may stock parts for. We picked up a v8 5spd in NC this week, and I have just completed the "de-contenting" of the car. I hope that this forum will be a good resource for parts/set up info. Any suggestions /tips would be greatly appreciated. Also, if anyone needs some decent interior pieces let me know asap before the find their way to the dumpster.

We actually had to scrap the first coupe we bought as the PO had used copious amounts of caulk, fiberglass bondo and paint to hide a rotted unibody. We picked up a second hatchback and have it stripped and going to get the cage installed Monday. Will post pics as we progess
