I ran a couple sessions in this event Friday afternoon. It was fun to get out and play a little in the car.

Rick,
Looks like the steering issue is fixed. Looks awesome!!!! I wanna do one of those events.
Other than that spin at 4:20, things looked and sounded pretty good.
What's next for the ol' blue flame (my nickname for it since it burned my ankle on the sidepipe).

Gotta come up here and rallycross my Miata .... got one Saturday... come on up.

Hey Dwight I like the Blue Flame haha fitting.

Like my spin right !!! Get waved by and then I spun in front of all of them! A little embarassing but fun none the less. Unfortunately
in the second heat my passenger side pipe fell off and cut things short. I had started last to see how many I could catch. The car was handling
pretty good after dropping the tire pressures down. Still was able to drive back home after I wired the sidepipe up.

It will be getting welded on extremely well this time!

Are you coming down for Summit Motorama? Adam and I already have our tickets. April 22-23

I would love to do a rally even in a Miata haha I have long said only way to look like a man in a Miata is to be racing it!

Looks like a lot of fun, I'm extremely jealous! Car seems well sorted out and very healthy, posi works good too from the looks of it. Snow is only starting to melt where im at now but this is the right amout of vega-citement I needed to have that last push until the car comes out.

hello sir and thanks for the comments. I am pretty happy with the results so far, of course there is a lot of room for improvement but power steering and power brakes
really helped make the car much more friendly to turn left and right quickly

With global warming you will be on the road in a few weeks!

Looking forward to more updates this summer in your journal

Well, I tried to register tonight, but seems I don't have the right link or something...... says $50 a person and then preferred seating. Uh..... I'm racing, not spectating. Can't seem to find the right place to register. "Summit Motorama registration" google search looks right but can't seem to find the autocross registration?

Seriously, come up and race my Miata this Saturday. Probably have to stay at our house Friday night, as we usually leave out about 7 am..... track is about an hour and a half away. I tow with the Suburban.
Here's a crappy vid of someone driving my car at the last event there.... it's like the town bicycle, EVERYBODY drives it..... Seriously, it's AWESOME, everyone loves it (completely stock, but the timing is advanced from 10 degrees up to 15-16 degrees) :

I'm uploading an in-car (hand-held) camera view, right now from my phone ..... I'll show it later (slow internet connection at house)

Theres a link for the Motorama Participant registration.

I will keep in mind your offer to drive that beast Miata! This weekend I am hoping to begin assembling a new bullet for
the Blue Flame!
