Close call

Postby spencerforhire » Thu Jun 29, 2017 8:39 pm

This happened Sunday morning during qualifying; I had no idea how close I had come to being taken out until just now when I saw the video. I was told the guy in the other lane got out of shape and crossed the centerline, but I didn't know he almost hit me. Fast forward to about the 1:00 minute mark for my pass. I went 6.04 on a 6.00 dial; think I was #6 out of 40-some. The other car was dialed 5.20, and that .800 head start on the tree saved me; if the guy in the 'Vette had been beside a car with a similar ET, there would have been major carnage. He was completely in my lane about half track.

Very close. Praise God it worked out that way. Your car looks awesome by the way. Have you ever had it on a quarter mile track?
