the engine is coming along nicely the block, crank, and dry sump system have been ordered and paid for (8,000 bucks) the heads have been finally decided upon since we can only run a min of 22 degree valve angle so tomorrow the heads, intake, and jessel stuff(shaft rockers, belt drive) will be ordered I will let this out, check out the new profiler big block intake very nice very very nice (claims to make 30 more hp then the super victor which is real hard to believe but het if it makes 5 to 10 more its all good

the engine should be on the dyno by mid to late dec. and on the track in jan. for some( a vary few) test hits This combo won't have alot of passes on it (50 passes before freshen up) so need to get the job done right each pass

Take care,
Colin
'72 Vega with '93 Camaro LT1/M29 T56/12 bolt 3.31. 16" IROCs all around. Sanderson headers into duals with an H-pipe and Flowmasters. It's loud but at least it's faster than your grandma's Buick. pwned.

you talking about the sniper intake from profiler ?? i,ve seen it on racing junk looks like a nice piece , i like the tunnel ram they have for the bbc , my next motor will be a bbc sporting one of those with a few foggers as well LOL , either that or the new LSX sbc motor that is coming out next year , it has the ability to go as big as 500" ci , that,s one hell of a smallblock

well I've tally up 20k in parts already and I've still got to buy another tranny(getting one from warren the super gas champ of 2006 brand new), digital 7 box,16 volt system batt charger etc,new rear brakes ,tires, lighter drive shaft, and find some way of dropping another 150 lbs out of the car

Engine

Postby Dreamweaver » Wed Apr 18, 2007 9:21 pm

the new engine should finally be done by the end of next week then we get to put the engine fit the car for new headers out the the side (fenders) ....then pull it back out and hit the dyno ...then send the dyno sheets off for a new torque convertor BUT I CAN SEE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL AND SOME O'S SIXTY FOOTS I'll be happy with a 1.09 out of the box as long as we get the chassis set up correct
I'm going to a 9 hour class this saturday by David Morgan on chassis set ups he's the guy who umm wrote that book umm sorry can't remenber been a very long day at work ,but you should know who I'm talking about anyway
I just can't wait to get back behind the wheel and let it fly

Dave Morgan has a great class. I took it about 10 years ago. He really knows his stuff. Get his book, too, if you don't have it already.
