Ok I will start it off with my 78 Sunbird wagons new best time. 5-19-07 of a not so spectaculare 16.42 ET, with the 231 V-6, T-350, 3.73 - 7.5"
combo. Doesn't sound like much, but it was an 18.8 sec car last fall.

I think it has high 15's in it if I can find a set of 13" DOT rated sticky tires. At the moment the car doesn't pull untill 3000 RPM, and I can't launch it with the street tires above 1400 rpm. Or the rear tires break loose on the line. So my 60 Ft times of 2.44 are actually slightly slower than the 2.37 sec's when it was an 18 sec car.

I had fun Saterday but I broke out in the 1st round with an .037 R.T. and ran a 16.4991 on a 16.5 dial in. Still a work in progress.

My best 1/8 mile in my Vega are 7.87 @ 86 mph and the best 60ft is a 1.694. I had a race on Sunday, the car ran great but the driver was way off but still had fun.

I actually took second place last saterday at our local track, the car ran consistant 16.84's all day, and my worst RT in eliminations was .1008 most were in the .03-.05 range.
I set a new personal best red light in the finals with a -.0001 Red. How long is 1 tenthousand of a second anyway? I did see a -.0000 Red on someone elses timeslip that day though.
On a funny note during time trials I was called in to tech to have my "NOS System" checked. When they told me what they were checking for I just about fell over laghing!!!!! They thought I was hitting NOS when the car makes the 1-2 shift. I am told it leapes into the air and I know it gets alittle squirrly but come on NOS on a 16 sec. car? I did have fun telling that story in the staging lanes.

6.73@100 on the bottle (1.47 60')

All stock (boxed) suspension, airbags, and a sway bar. 26x8.5 mt's.....never had any wheel hop!

New motor in the car as of 2 weeks ago and havnt ran on the bottle yet, so looking to improve on that 6.73 next weekend.

Heres the 7.49 on the motor last weekend

Well I changed the carb from the Holley econimizer 390
4 bbl, That was way to rich at idle, and was choking off the engine on the upper end. To a 67 sprint 750 Q-jet, the car imediatly started & idled much better!!! and yesterday it picked up to 16.01 at out local track.
I then opened up the exaust dump's, and ran several 15.96's & 15.97's. I was estatic to be able to dial a 15.98. I won round 1, and red lighted badly in round 2 so I ran it out the end and ran a best 15.95!!!
Now for a converter & drag radials!!!!

M/T drag radial?

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but i just saw that there was some unanswered questions.

No drag radial, I used there ET Radial, I drive the car everywhere!

And for the "I dont believe you" guys, the only video I have of the car running at the track right now is this one with the times blocked out. Anyone who has seen a 10 second car run though can tell its not bullshit though.

and a little street action... (all fictional computer generated of course!)
