Too bad we were all out of gum!

I'm not sure how I can embed the video here, but here's a link to my old 76 Sedan under new ownership at Bradenton Motorsport Park, FL.

For his first time at the strip in many years (and in a new car) he did a fantastic job.

Rust, it's a modestly built 350 that ran 12.8's for me.
New owner has all of the old slips, so I can't get more specific on MPH or anything.

Sweet!

Nice to see it back at the track. I keep wishing I had bought it . That was a great deal!

Nice! It seems to leave the line pretty good.

Greg: I couldn't be happier that she has such a loving owner. If we set another "play date" I'll let you know. He actually offered me to take the last pass, but I figured he didn't want to know what the car could REALLY do... I'll take him up on it next time though!!! PM me with your phone digits or email me through the link here - I'll keep you up to date. I'm also getting geared up to have my 73 in this years' Nostalgia drags (PAINTED OR NOT!!!!! I'M ITCHY!!!!) PM or email me anyway, I've got other local news for you!!

John: That was the most impressive (looking) run of his 4 passes that day, but still fell short of my times with a new gear and lower 1st tranny gear (he swapped the TH350 for a 700r, and replaced the 3.42 with a 4.30!!!!) It was obvious that the car fell on it's face after 1000ft, cause he simply ran out of camshaft for that RPM. I REALLY wish somebody had taken video when I was running it in brackets - I SWEAR it was an even more impressive launch with a LOT more lift - he had also swapped the rear springs for cargo coils to make it stiffer - granted his street ride quality is better, but it just doesn't have the same line "WOW" factor that it had as a pure street car.

In all, he did fantastic with the car, and for a test-N-tune event, there was NOTHING in the street driver class that could touch him (I was surprised cause there's usually a few Z06's and heavily modded late model Stangs that hang out there, but since they started our season so early here I guess no serious bracket runners are playing on Sundays any more.???
