As Steve pointed out, his notchback weighed in at 2900+. Factor a smallblock notchback at 2700+, which my 76 was right at 2750 with fuel and driver, so a hatch or wagon will be 2750 or more right off the bat.

I will stick with a HIGH 7 1/8th mile if AND ONLY IF you hook well and have everything firing perfectly.

The weather finally agreed and the track opened Wed. night so I took my car out. It was really busy but managed to get 2 passes, the first was about a 60% pass because it was the first time the car had been down the track. The car left good, stayed in the middle and drove good. .671 r/t 2.238 60 ft. 9.032 e/t 82.49 mph.
The second pass was better, I took it easy again for safety. THis pass was at about 75% and the results were .200 r/t 1.8887 60 ft 7.916e/t and 89.29 mph.
The car left really slow, pretty sure that will change when I put the new converter in. All in all not bad for the first and second passes.
I think a little tuning, 3500 converter and a few more trips to the track 6's are no problem. After I get used to driving the car I will shoot the juice to it and see what happens!!!!!!!!!

Ran a 7.60 in the 1/8 on motor, 1.74 60 ft. 91mph. Tried the spray and ran a 7.90 and 1.85 60ft. didnt get the tires hot enough and had way to much air in them. Spun the tires as soon as I hit the button. Blew the header gasket on that run and went home.
