Seat Belts

Yes it's that time again for belts.

As I get older, sadly, I begin to think more and more about safety!!(darn old age) lol

Ok really,

With this set of belts I really took my time setting them up so that I can get nice and tight in the seat.

Has anyone ever noticed that the hole in the rear of your racing seat is LOWER than your shoulders?

When I get those belts nice and tight, and push forward I really feel them pulling down and also putting alot of pressure on my collar bone...

Seems to me that if the back of the belts were higher there would be less chance of injury,,,

thoughts????

I felt the same way. I'm using Summit seats. I run the belts from the crossbar over the seat. The track inspector only requests that you wrap the belts in between the seatback support to keep them from spreading. Much more comfortable and I feel safer. Lap belt keeps me down, shoulder keeps me back.
