Vega gets a new track record

Had a good day at the track today, we had a good turnout, the Vega from last year showed up and I got the car running right at the nines again. The best part was the Vega breaking the track record. We knew he could by his runs he made last year, but red lighted his first pass in eliminations. This time he made it all the way to first place and broke the old record of 5.73 by running a best of 5.42. me getting first in my bracket running 9.09 to a 8.89 break out and beating him to the finish was'nt bad either.

nice times but what track allows you to race with no hood and a open carb ??? non of the ones i,ve been too allow that you have to have a air cleaner covering the carb

This isn't on a sanctioned track, well not for drags. We're a bunch of vollunteers who run what we call street drags. We run on the straight away of a big circle track. So we make up our own rules, not many to follow, just pass an easy tech inspection.http://evergreenstreetdrags.com/index.html . Just gives us somewhere to race
