the lq9 heads that come on the 08-09 6 liter motors flow 330cfm STOCK! not good for boosted stuff but
what great heads they would be for any 6 liter NA motor!!

lq9 are 317's just like the lq4 , and are the heads most use for boosted applications , ive got a set of west coast cyl head stage 2's

the 4.8/5.3 head are the 1's that will raise the compression through the roof , the 243's are LS6 and LS2 are the same other than the valves , the LS6 gets the sodium filled heads

my 04 gto still has the stock 241's

not sure about the lq9's, I think they have a square type of intake runners like the bbc ones. so you have to get a different intake for those,, but the good part about those heads,, they are about 900 bucks brand new from GM!
COMPLETE!!!!

It sounds like you are talking about L92 truck heads. Rec ports, flow 330 on newer trucks.

LS3's and L92's got the rectangular ports. I'm going to go with some LS6's and a custom cam and more spray.

I'm headed out tomorrow to Pittsburgh Raceway. I changed the off RPM from 5800 to 6500. I'll spray through the shifts with a 100 shot shifting at 6100. I'll keep you up to date on what I run.

I made it out yesterday and the car was making good power. I only made three runs. Two 12.50-12.60 runs where it shifted to second at 6000 and spun putting the car sideways so I lifted and ran it out. The mph was in the 109 range. The last run I turned on the nitrous bottle and took off to an 11.60 short shifting first at 5000 rpm. It ran 118.00. Can't wait until next year.

YES it was!! I met some h-body guys. There was a silver 72 vega and a 76 vega wagon. Nice guys to talk to. Curtis (78spyder) showed up. (Sorry I couldn't talk to you more Curtis, we'll have to meet up when I'm not racing!) I can't wait until next year. :D

I just found all my time slips for 2009. Out of nine runs these are my personal bests:

60 ft - 1.645 (non nitrous run!?)

1/8 et - 7.353 (75 shot)

1/8 mph - 94.60 (75 shot)

1/4 et - 11.553 (100 shot)

1/4 mph - 117.80 (100 shot)

Not record shattering but I only have nine passes on this combo looks like there is room for improvement!
