Postby 2lucke4u » Thu Jun 18, 2009 11:38 am

Guys/Gals
Has anyone had experience with using 50/50 water/alcohol injection while on the spray to increase octane and gain a little timing, would this help with hp and keeping knock at bay,,anyone on this one would be great,I have a snow meth system ready to go on,also have a line loc/rool control to install, easy??thoughts?cautions?,,let me know your thoughts,,

the nitrous will already be cooling the intake charge , and if your running a wet kit , then your adding fuel already , so youll be running way rich with the meth added

what i would do is get a small 1-2 gallon fuel cell , and run it for the nitrous only and use 100+ octane fuel

So you are thinking doing a regular wet kit set up but also add a 50/50 water alcohol mix on top of that?
I dont see how the octane increase would be enough to make any noticeable difference in doing it that way.

Faster
have a new snow kit,was going to put it on the street car to help with octane, investigating ways to make cheap hp,The system I have will run off my hyfire box rpm switch to a electric selenoid mounted under the dash, the plan was to have it come on at 2500 rpm,I would have it plumbed under the carb with two small jets, this would be on the new motor with no nitrous, did'nt know if it would make a performance dif,my thought was it might be better on the drag car, maybe not,,thanks
