Guys
Here it is,,finally made it out to the track, health has been a issue, getting the car ready for Pinks in Cedar falls in Sept,we have three cars in the mix,old reliable ran a new best, same cam, same setup, only added a stud girdle to the top end,
60ft--1.536--------off the cars best by over .10,,slid a little out of the box,
330---4.311
1/8--6.644
mph--105.70
1000--8.659
1/4--10.382
mph--129.87
this run was made against a very suprised motorcycle,,,
the run before this one I hit a 60ft of 1.44 but had to abort the run due to dodging a hood that flew off the pro stock car I was against,it was a 80's something camaro that lost its hood at the 1000ft mark,50ft in the air and the wind caught it and it sliced across the front of my windshield as I swerved by it,the tower called it a hit,but I got lucky,it was dead center of the lane in my rearview mirror,we had a great time and hope to get the car more consistant for the competition coming up,,I will have video of the fast run soon if anyone wants to eyeball it,,

thanks, will be back at it this next weekend, going to push the car up to the 135mph limit for my chasis, putting the nos on a micro switch to make the car more consistant and increase the jetting to 80 nos 82 fuel, that should add 25+hp to the rear, that last run with a better 60ft should have netted a 10.20,still tuning this thing after three years, will keep you posted,in the last week I've shared the site with three other racers that run h-bodies,one inquired about a monza ls1 conversion,I'm looking at making a new license plate for the car,H-BODY.ORG,it is available in WI,that should help spread the word,

At 9.99 or 135mph,we need a full certified cage, fire suit, license, and other misc,my oh my,,big bucks for a car that cost less than 12k to put together, let me be clear,,,the limit is self imposed due to cost,I can get the car into the low 9's with a cam change as we are only at .531 lift now,the traction issue has been addressed and the car leaves hard and flat, track conditions are another thing,,will keep you posted,I've got a plan,,now to hit the track with it,,

What was the cure for traction etc? Why not run the plate tune square? 82/82

Faster
running 73/73 now, flowed at 6.5psi fuel,#8 sparkplug melted off its electrode all others fine, timing was back 5 degrees to 32,lean is the only answer,I did go to a open top air cleaner element, more air??? who knows,,thought the mixed jet sizes would protect against lean out again,#8 still running 175lbs comp, all cyclinders within 7%,

traction solved this way ditched the drag shocks in front,15lbs in passenger rear air bag, used a threaded rod to limit front end travel, repositioned lca's at 1.25 down with new bracket,32lbs in fronts, watching the tape of the car launching shows it leaving flat, wheels come up about 5 inches initially, then the car settles to skipping the fronts passed the 60ft mark, still waiting to get the tape transfered so I can watch it on the big screen and look for changes to make,I did notice right away that the drivers rear is not lifting as is was last year, also on the third run came out of the groove and car did'nt get too silly, last year would have been some hard see-sawing to get it straight,I run a eight point now with sub frame connectors, trying to stay away from the expense of a full cage,
