LS Vega solid 9.6x's

Postby RockDaddy » Sun Aug 09, 2009 7:29 pm

I have a good project thread but figured Id post here. My Stroked L92 based build ran a 9.67@137 its first full pass. Better than I thought it would for sure.

Ran it this weekend and had a best ET of 9.60 and a best MPH of 140.18

Freaking rocking ride!

The L92 heads have spring and are milled a little. Otherwise, totally stock. Stock ports, valves, rockers. Maybe next year I will put some heads on it.

I just put a set of L92's on a 6L with lighter intake valves and different springs . Cant go wrong with a reasonably inexpensive head that flows 300+ untouched. I am working on a carbed app with a little spray.

Well I know I need suspension work but that is for this winter so I'm making the best of what I have. I added front end limiters and started softening up the rear suspension and raising the launch rpm until I found a consistent medium. I am now able to leave at 3900 rpm and got my 60's down to 1.34
