Let's talk about sponsorship...

Postby Rickracer » Wed May 26, 2010 1:58 am

Since I've started racing the "new" Vega, I have two or 3 real sponsors whose name will be on the car, the shop of my co-owner and partner, my own shop, and a jet ski repair shop of another friend, PWC Pros, who is sponsoring up for entry fees and fuel. The plan so far was to run the local 1/8 mile track Friday and/or Saturday nights until the cr is tubbed, then to start running the 1/4 mile at OSW. Now I have another major sponsor interested, (pretty much volunteering), and I'm not sure quite how to handle it, what to ask for, what to promise in return, etc. With some good sponsors, our options open up a lot as far as what tracks we run, and what gets done with, and to, the car. Anybody got any experience to share?
