Keeping the Vega in the spot light.

LIVERNOIS LATE MODEL SHOOTOUT
Open to all makes and brands - Fuel injected cars only - .500 Pro Tree

Well the turnout wasn't very good for the Milan Fuel injected only race but none the less I won the bracket portion and then won the quick 8 out of it.

It was crazy, my first bracket elimination was me dialing 9.13 and the other guy dialing a 20.5. No crosstalk and it was a .5 pro tree so he took off and I counted to 10 then got into the T brake. Freaking funny talking to him after. He said he kept looking in the rear view to see when i started. He saw my wheels up and he was so far down the track he is like how can he catch up lol. I went by him so fast i couldn't even tell if I beat him to the strip or not until i saw the light.

I was doing 146 and he was doing 62 lol

I've been in both rolls before . I've just been to the strip a few times no real racer but it's fun to see what your car will do. Had a 80 Malibu that ran 14.20 and got in the finals agianst a 65 Nova that ran 10.5 , I didn't know what to do , thought I was going to break out because I was so far down the trac before I seen his front wheels come up and I don't know if I hit my breaks or not but he blew by me and won , but I can say I got a trophy from the strip even if second . Then took my Vega down and got up against a little Dodge pickup that ran 17's , I was havin trouble getn her to run so I dialed a 12.20 . This guy was running every week in the pionts so he lined up to me thinkin an easy win and my car ran perfect , put him out boy was he pissed . Best I ever did with it was 11.88 in street trim. Thats kinda hard to sit there and watch another car get that far down the tract me being a rookie ! Like the pic of your wheels up :th:

Hey Art, I think it's your eyes playing tricks on you, look how the RR is wrinkled (almost wadded up   ), it wouldn't be like that if it was almost off the ground. It's just the way the sun is hitting the ground under the car in that shot. 8)

congrats !!!

car looks sweet wheels up ! when i was the faster car to alot slower car , id drop my dial in alot closer to theirs , that way i knew it would be a easy win , id leave the line a little late , and just keep the nose infront of him

I have video of the Pure Hell fuel altered with all 4 off the ground so it is possible.

Over the years, I've seen quite a few pics of cars with all 4 off the ground, rocked back on the wheelie bars, (or bumper    ), 8)
