New best and really good 60'

Postby RockDaddy » Sun Jul 11, 2010 7:01 pm

I ran in the LS rumble 9.0 Index Saturday during the PRITCHETT Bro. Outlaw race at Milan. Got a new best of 9.10@146.90 with a 60' time of 1.250 Had a pretty good day. I did ride a wheelie at what felt like 45 deg angle until I had to pedal as I was drifting to the wall. Broke a number of things but still showed up to the next round with duct tape holding my right front fender the car. :)

I do make changes to keep it down but I have this fine line between total hookup and a little slipping. If I'm slipping a little and make one notch limiter change and all the sudden it hooks and I'm looking at the sky. When it seems to settle right in the middle where I carry the wheels 2 feet up an ride them for a bit it really flies. At least most of the time its under control, just catches me off guard here and there.

I'm browsing summit now at Big shot 4500 plate kits.....

hey rodkdaddy is that kit you are talking about nitrous?if it is, dont do it man. you are doing so damn good without that stuff. that stuff may make you go faster, but always causes trouble in the long run. stay natural good luck art

hey rockdady i know the feeling. i have a 625 hp sbc to go in my nova. current small block is around 525 hp. and im looking to speed it it up. car runs 1090s and should go to low 10s with the new engine. a far cry from where you are. i wouldnt want to go as fast as you.. my car now runs about 122 mph and will step up around 130 mph with the new engine. i am nervous about this move and need to work it out in my head before i put the new engine in. art

just be scared when the bars break!
just foolin
oops no i'm not thats what adding about 80 h/p did off the leave . left side bar broke as it went all four up and headed for the wall
actually the set up now has a programmable timing/nos curve and i can plot out the power to give it a good hit then ramp the extra power in by 150 ft
