Go with the s-10 28 spline axles a open 28 spline carrieer and a mini spool and run the car at the track to see where you are at. Those parts are CHEAP and can be resold pretty quickly IF needed. We just ran our little monza with the sbc 377 destroked to 10.60 1/4 miles( 6.72 1/8th ) and it is a STOCK 8.5 s-10 rear ladder barred Full spool 4.10 with STOCK GM axles c-clip eliminated. 1.41 60 foot on 8x 26 MT slicks...lol.

I am sure you will be fine with the 7.5 for a bit as long as you do not dum p the clutch at over 4000 rpms etc.

I ran mini spool and 26 spline s-10 axles to 11.90 then got suggested to upgrade the seat belts and cage etc. lol.

Good luck. Jim

If your comparing a 17,000$ Mark williams modular unit to a stock 10 bolt the ten bolt is dirt cheap.. If your looking at a Moser fab 9 a stock 10 bolt is cheap....

I run a business ...Man I know how cheap people get. They spend 50G on a GTO then get to the reaR AND WANT A 12 BOLT FOR ALL THE HIGH POWERED MOTOR THEY GOT for less than 1000.00 to handle 750 hp 455 motor. lol.

How can I feel for a guy / gal that spends that much on the car AND TELLS YOU. then cut them a deal...lol.

I have cut deals for people after whining about having to save money or there wife is on them about it etc. and then have the B-lls to drive up in a NEW 80K dually to pick-up the parts and or rear. Geez.... Like rubbing it in your face. :bang:

ANY WAY - Hope everyone has a great Thanks Giving...As it seems to be getting left behind in the season Holiday. Please remember to be thankful...Just look around you - :th: Help another if they have less than you.

Take care, Jim Mitschke
