Anybody run New England Dragway?

Postby 73 307 GT » Thu May 10, 2012 9:10 pm

I haven't been to a dragstrip since I left Texas. Would be great to watch someone from here make a run!

A couple of my friends go there to run bikes. They say they see Monzas and Vegas there, but I don't know if any of them are on here.

I just noticed you said you left texas, thats where I started building my car and first ran it down a track. I ran it at little river dragway in temple at one of the h-body get togethers.

Car is all loaded up, ready to run. Just have to hitch up the trailer, throw the tools, grill and food in the truck saturday night.

Hoping to make it! Best of luck! Also, is there a show event in addition to the racing?

Yes, there is a show, car corral and swap meet. As long as the weather holds out, there will be lots to see.

Missed this post earlier! Yeah, I lived in rural Denton county for 22 years. Miss it sometimes. The strip I used to go to most often was an 1/8th mile track just north of Denton called North Texas Dragway (think it's called something else now). Also, attended the last event at Green Valley Raceway in Dallas, which was a Super Chevy Sunday. Had the ticket stubs for years. Like a lot of tracks, I think it's a subdivision now. :(
