Dropped the Vega off at the chassis shop today.

Postby JWStevens » Sat Sep 22, 2012 12:48 am

Well, I dropped my Vega off again today to get some more work done. I'm starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel at this point. After this trip I'll probably only have one more and I'll be done with the chassis work. This trip it will get A-arms, K-member, trans crossmember, rack and pinion, anti-roll, and the rearend narrowed (again). It may get a little more it just depends on what that ends up costing. I've got about 5k in the chassis so far and someone asked me if I was taking it to the scrap yard today! That's pretty sad.....

About 2 mos. after I brought my Calif. car home sitting in the driveway a scrapper put a note on the windshield offering me $200 for it for scrap because it didn't weigh much. I just Paid $2200 for it, Ok it needed paint but it is rust free, Most people see old and that equals Garbage So Sad, So Sad, Now I am even more depresed Harry

Well, after more than four months the vega should be coming home from the chassis shop any day now. Ill be able to do some more body work and a few other things, then try to get it ready to go back to the chassis shop for its last trip. Ill post some pics when I pick it up. Donations will be accepted.

Thanks! Its starting to look better. Sadly after a dreaded conversation with my chassis guy today I think I'm gonna have to finish it myself.
