Vega wheelie video

Postby spencerforhire » Tue Dec 11, 2012 7:42 am

Friend and fellow Nova Scotian Vega owner Darrell Poole dragging the back bumper. Unfortunately, there was significant damage from the landing; the car is now undergoing some chassis improvements. I'm sure glad mine doesn't want to do this; love my 4-link!

Ken- i thought that the comment about how much I love my 4-link would have made it obvious; Darrell's car has a set of ladder bars. They don't have much adjustment, and in general when they hook, they REALLY hook! His car was originally going to be a Pro Street ride; it was built with a steel firewall and floor, a rectangular tube frame, steel front bumper, steel doors and the motor is not set back as far as mine. Up close it's beautiful; black paint and flawless body work(Darrell owns a body shop); nothing like my "100 footer".
It's presently on a diet and under the knife to make it into a true race car. He occasionally lurks on this board; I may already be in trouble for posting the video! lol.

Back when this happened I saw a series of stills posted on our local drag racing forum by one of the regular track photographers, but I didn't know Darrell's wife caught it on video until yesterday. Found it by accident looking through videos from another local track for runs by my car. I found a few but it seems I'm always in the wrong lane; hard to see much, and not worth posting on this forum.

Hi,
Loved the video, and it looked like it might have scared him into letting off after he touched back down.

I had to let off because I had no idea where I was, I had planned on staying in it and hoped it would come down easy but it didn't want to come down so I had to lift,240 feet out. :th:
