need help choosing gears

need some assistance choosing gears for a9".....1971 vega wagon 350 stroker, with 330 hp to tires 331 torque to tires,,,,,,powerglide with 1.76 (i think)...around 4000 stall.... 9" with 4.88, 29" slicks............with this setup, I was running outa engine before finish line rev limiter was set at 6600 and kicked on before finish line best 1/4 time of 11.39 @113 but rev limiter was on not very far from end......I am not very schooled in racing or wrenching.....I only have a cresent wrench......maybe view ing my camera i had installed at the trackwill help ???? youtube mrmosseater or search bremerton raceway vega ps... I am going to downsize my tires to 28" drag radial type...and i want to cross the line between 6200- 6300 rpm.maybe theres some one out there who has the same set up........Dean

my calculations would put you around a 4.33 gear to get you closer to crossing the line around 6300 rpm.

I believe i shift at 6000

I guess 4.33 is a good starting point...I can always go up or down in tire size if needed....
