Nice car and nice job on the install! Looks like the engine is sitting more or less in the "stock" location, what kind of motor mounting did you come up with? And when is going down the track?

Ron.

Butler motor plates in stock location. Had to drop center-link about 1/2 inch to clear oil pan, use couplers on steering shaft, and build custom headers. Will run the streets for awhile working issues and upgrading before hitting drag strip. Only running 3.42 gears on pump gas and should run easy 10's.

Just looked at the video again and still barely saw the motor plates. LOL. I'm running 3.42's too, but still on 13" tires. Hoping to dip into the 14's in the 1/4. :th:

Nice seeing that motor in there, I was thinking the way the exhaust ports are located on the Pontiac motors I was thinking the exhaust may be easier than on a small block Chevy?

Would like to see the mounts as well....more pics!

The drivers side (left) is the challenge. I'm running the oval port RAIV style alum head which is even bigger on the two center ports but even D ports and the mini starter didn't leave much room for the header tubes. The header flanges had to be cut to install one tube at a time. Came out nice but any problem with starter that header must come off. The car has to be fairly high in the air to remove header. Pretty much need car lift. Also was difficult routing steering shaft. Had to use 3 couplers, fabricate special bracket, and make a Teflon bushing in the end of steering shaft. After all said and done I still had to cut off the mounting boss on rear of cylinder head closest to firewall/S shaft. The passenger side is a breeze.
