where on the carb is the hose from the canisterfilter go?
One is connected to the returnline to the tank
that I know, did not remove that one.......

Depends on what carb you have , usually on top of the carbs fuel bowl. Was a 5/16" hose on my 151's Rochester Varajet . Doug in Az
