If you have a original motor,,
4 cylynder model,base 140,151 cid, or iron duke,most of them 2 bbl's
It depennd's on the Carburetor unit,,
And I have Nothing for you,,
other members may chime in about what work's.

On modified from original:
if you have a V6 or V8 SBC ,the stock monza V6 ,262/305 V8 will fit,,if a 2 bbl

If you have a Alluinum manifold, and small CFM Holley,
Some Dropbase Factory or Aftermarket will Clear,,
but Plumbing on Vacumn hole near distribitor behind Carb
will be close or under the Holleys rear Bowl, and May require a spacer
 to clear the Factory or aftermarket hook up for powerBrakes
 and Powerglide 2 speed ,Turbo 200/250/350

My Choice was Limited,,75 Monza factory mounted,,,
 V8 262, SBC now a 350 SBC, power brake's  Stock hood
Because I used a Full sized HEI distibutor,
Edelbrock Carb #1406 4bbl, and Edelbrock spreadbore Intake, No spacer,

I used a Edelbrock Pro-form Small Triangle shaped air cleaner
With removable washable foam filter, It Has a clip that holds the Filter,
, to a base that attaches with a hidden wing nut/stud,

They also have a dress up standard larger, and even larger full size filter,,
,Paper style element,,Round and Triangle to Clear

,,,,,I really wanted a full sized filter housing that clears the HEI,
But will do with out till I find,,,
 something like a adapter to run
 "Cold Air Remote Filter unit",, there are more choices out there,,

Thanks Mike! I guess I should have specified its a 355 with Bob Gumm mounts. So the triangle one is the only one that works for you so far? I was hoping for a round one but cant be too picky in this case.

,,,,,I have seen a lot of SBC V8 With Larger Air Cleaner's in Vega's and other h-bodys
Also Edelbrock make a Slightly Larger Triangle and Round Cleaner to fit,,
And fit's under the stock hood,,as far as I know

But the really large Round One with a Drop Base (Moroso and others)brand's
and has a tunnel for the Large Holley,'s End Bowls,,,
,,, requires a lot of thought ,,
 if you use a spacer ( 2' inch ) it clear' s the HEI and Brake Vacumn Plumbing,,
,,,,,,,but then you have to close the Stock Hood,,,, and * :bang: &##@%* that :x

 Also your choice of intake manifold Height is a factor,,,

On Some aftermarket Intake's The Manufacter's have Height comparison's from the heads up,
,Any body buying a Lifted version,,(AKA Air Gap Manifold) would surely check this out for hood clearance,,

,,I wish They made a Drop Base That had a offset Hole,,,for the Edelbrock 1406 or simular,,To clear the HEI,,

There are a couple of Carb hats with filter's mounted at 90 degree's over the valve covers that look promising ,,,,
Then there is The Cold air (Remote Box) or Cone Mounted Away from the heat with a adapter to the top of carb,
 ,Marco has Done one allready,,, check out his Modification's,,

I know it is a bit late to post this.....but better late than never. As for intakes I came across one in the 2010 GM Performance catalog that might help with hood clearance issues. It is listed on page 171. P/N 10185063.Alum.Fits all ZZ series350HO eng.Can be used on all s/b through 1986.Dual-pattern carb flange, approx 1/2"lower than 1970 LT1intake.Says it makes the same H/P.Has provisions for all late-mod. acc.brackets,EGR,and integral hot-air choke.Im not sure on the price(dealer mark up)and I have not checked if there is any aftermarket intakes that match.Im looking at it for my Monza, with a q-jet 4bbl.(grew up with them) and a mild roller cam. Any body have any input on this?

from all the discussion in the past few months i think it was established that all the after market dual plane intakes fit under the stock hood with up to about a 4 inch thick air cleaner. if close use a wider 3 inch one. art
