I'm having an issue with my stock Vega. Yesterday I drove it to lunch with a friend, put in some gas on the way -- car was running great. On the way home it just quit dead while driving at 35 m.p.h. If I sprayed carb cleaner in the carb it would fire up and then die again. I shoild mention that when the car quit it was 90+ degrees and I was using the a/c. i had it towed home and put it in the garage. This morning it fired right up and ran great. I had a similar issue once last year on a cool day. i went to move the car to a new spot in my storage area and it wouldn't start. I tried it again a few days later and it started right up and ran fine. Never a problem with it again until yesterday. Any thoughts on what could be wrong? Flaky fuel pump? Vapor lock (doubt it)? Fuel filter plugged? Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks!
