Fuel Pump Question

Postby Biscayne John » Fri Feb 01, 2013 11:39 pm

This era of Chevrolets is facinating to, I have been learning every day. I was starting to get board with the cars I have been doing for a long time.
I was wondering if the V-8 Monza came from the factory with an electric fuel pump, and if it did was the block machiened for provision of a mechanical one?

Yes, they have an electric pump because there isn't enough clearance for a mechanical pump in the engine compartment. They are machined for a mechanical pump, but they have a block-off plate bolted on them.
