Peter,
I don't know for sure, but I have a replacement EGR that I bought that is wrong for my car, but the Orifice Washer Selection Chart that came with it says it is correct for your car. (17062727 takes washer 36, the valve came with a bag full of washers). The instruction sheet also says "NOTE: GM valves are marked with a "P" or "N" indicating the type of transducer incorporated". It doesn't say where this mark is, and I cannot find an "N" or "P" on my EGR so I can't help you there. Maybe you could lightly wire brush the top of your valve and reveal the mark. The sheet also says the negative backpressure valve can be replaced with a positive backpressure style replacement valve.
The replacement one I have (NAPA Echlin brand) looks exactly like yours where it attaches to the intake, except for yours has an "outie" (like the one on my car) and this has a "innie".
