I was just looking at pix of Colin's car and realized that it looks like the lower chin of my '73 is different than his. There is a gigantic hole where the very ugly extended bumper bracket. I think the front nose is different for that reason too. What do you guys think?

Nic,

The only real differences are the longer bumper brackets, and the lower valance has the larger cutout to clear the bracket, as well as the extended tab to mount on the extended bumper filler panel.

OK good news. SO I might be able to fill the gap with glass. I was also thinking about trying to shave the front bumper all together. Maybe I could make a couple small fiberglass bumpers that mount on the fender tab that sticks out.

just adding my input here to. I have a 74 Kammback that i have swaped front ends from a 71 hatchback. My radiator support was toast anyway so i removed one from a 71 hatch back and installed in my 74 wagon. The fenders are a diirect bolt on,,,mine are fiberglass. The hood is the same to. I had to do some redrilling to make my front split bumper brackets fit properly. The swap really took some weight off the front end to. The opening in the 71 radiator support was a bit small s i opened it up somewhat for more air flow.
