Need roller bush for door hinges, are they available?

Postby AussieMonza » Mon Nov 20, 2006 7:27 am

I put new bushes on the door hinges, the pins are fine but I now need the roller bush/bearing that goes half way up the door.

Are these available still from GM?
If so does anybody have a P/N?

thanks
Michael

Yep the metal rollers.
The pins are fine and I put new bushes on this car last week.

The roller doesnt spin even as its worn so the door creeks when shutting as the metal roller is binding.

Its on the monza we have to paint for a customer.

I looked it up, the roller is part of the upper hinge (door side). You might be able to just use the parts off a new hinge, I really don't iknow how, or if, it comes apart. If you are interested in it I can check on them and see what's available NOS. CJBIAGI@YAHOO.COM

Thats right, do you know if you can buy new hinges still?

The roller is not spared separately, you can only get it as part of the "door side" half of the hinge hinge. Exactly what year and model do you have? There seems to some differences. The upper hinges come as 4 separate parts, the door half and the body half for each side. If you wanted hinges for both doors you would need 8 separate parts. I'm sure they would add up $$$$$ real quick.
