Here's the deal.
I removed the body side moulding from my red spyder last year.
Due to some sort of epoxy repair...the strips took some paint with it when it was removed.
the paint was removed down to a layer of grey primer.
I had a can of touch up paint made up and I've gone over the spots.
So they match and arent visible from a distance, but they are way noticeable up close.
If I put the trim back on, It will cover everything back up and I'll be fine.
I was wondering if I kept on adding coats of paint in the spots,
would it build up enough to match the level of the current paint.
I figure if I did that, and then wet sanded to make everything even...I could get the spots to blend in pretty well.
will this work?
I might take it to get some estimates to see if its more worth my time and effort to get it fixed at a good body shop.
Or...just put the moulding on and settle for its uglyness on my spyder.
