Front crossmember

Postby NHRA Stk Starfire » Wed Jan 23, 2008 10:16 am

I had the 77 up on the lift last night finally checking out what I have to work with. From a previous accident ( only one of this cars life ) the front frame horns and k-member are still bent. Was "supposed" to have been repair by my brother-in-law when his younger brother went off into a ditch. They are pushed up. I saved the k-member from my 75 parts car and was wondering if they are the same. The 75 was a v-6 and the 77 is a v-8 car.

I also found rust out at the LCA front mounts at the floor area. I will post pics in My Garage this weekend when I get time.

Not really what I wanted to hear, . But if so, hope the original is not to far bent.

I knew that the '75 tranny cross member was a one year only but I didn't realize that the K-frame was too. I've got a k-frame off of a '75 Vega wagon if Rick doesn't want to sell his. $30 + shipping.
