LCA mount rust repair

Postby NHRA Stk Starfire » Wed Jan 23, 2008 10:49 pm

Ok,I know I saw somebody had some pics of their LCA mount repair. Here are pics of mine, in their current rusted glory, . How about some ideas for repair. Would also appreciate any pics of how you did yours. I am also putting in subframe connectors, so you can figure that in the equation. Possible 8 point in the future? Not right now though.

Check peterpan's garage. His subframe connectors and rear LCA mounts are all in one.

Same idea. Homemade subframe connectors incorporate LCA mounts. Some pictures at this link if you are interested.

for ideas you can check out my garage project page

another memeber took my idea and modified it in a way that i think would work better for your car nixvegagt he built a box for the rear control arm mount that was rusted

i got lucky mine was not rusted at all so all i had to do was reinforce mine

Holy crap, dude.. I feel frigging spoiled. None of my Vegas are rusted NEAR that bad. Wow..
'72 Vega with '93 Camaro LT1/M29 T56/12 bolt 3.31. 16" IROCs all around. Sanderson headers into duals with an H-pipe and Flowmasters. It's loud but at least it's faster than your grandma's Buick. pwned.
