Removal of door windows?

Postby Boostedballs » Mon Mar 16, 2009 2:07 pm

I'm having a bit of trouble removing the windows from the doors. It looks like I need a special tool for the hardware on the front corner of the window where a bearing attaches though the window. The rest of it looks like the window might be glued to the bottom track? I am going with Lexan windows but I don't want to break the glass ones.

Anyone looking for a pair of windows with mechanisms?

I agree with AusRs, in fact I had to spread the top of the door a bit to make it come out.

boostedballs, if you are refering to the track at the bottom of the window(the track the window is "glued"into) then yes it will also come out at the same time. There is an idler track attached to the inner door skin. Removing the idler track will allow the window to move freely and you can move it as needed to remove the regulator rollers from the track and then up and out.
