I bought a NOS spoiler in a package deal with other goodies.
It has a number inside 10000843
Not sure as to what it fits.
It appers to have a little raised spot in the middle, did notchbacks have a small ridge in the center of the trunk?

Sounds like it is a Formula Sunbird notchback spoiler. Check out the dark spot in the center of the trunk on the spoiler.

That does appear to be a rear spoiler for the trunk models . Would love to to see underside pics of all 3 pieces .

Later coupes had a rib down the center of the trunk lid. The raised portion was to clear the rib. I now have the later rear deck lid on my coupe and it fits like it is supposed to.

The Formula spoiler on your car Dick, gave me an idea...

I could turn my 78 notchback into a clone of the white 78 hatch. It would take a ton of time and money, but that sure would be cool!

Len,

one of the earlier photos shows the end cap, but here is one I took the other day after it snowed. I have been trying to rehab the spoiler.

Len,

From the looks of it, it may or may not be feasable. You need to get a coupe and see how it will fit. Might have to do some fiberglass work, I think that the trunk lids are raised a little even if it is a 75, and the later ones definately have the rib down the center. The later trunk lids have the underside made for attaching the coupe spoiler, when I had it on the 75 trunk lid, I had to drill larger holes through the supports. Would have to double check the end caps, as they probably set for the hatch and the angle would be all wrong. Note that I have not looked at it. Also the trunk lid comes out a little bit in the center, not straight across as I think the hatch is on the rear edge. There are some more pictures in my garage of the spoiler that might help. Hope this helps, it might be quite a job to adapt it to fit. I don't think they had much luck adapting a Spyder spoiler to a notch back, but most of them were the bumper material.

Hey guys. I have both trunk and hatch spoilers for sunbird. They are not interchangeable. Angles are all wrong. It would be easier to start from scratch.
