Window Rubber

I know this has been asked before but not lately. Hoping someone has new/updated info.
I have a 1971 Vega Kammback and I need replacement rubber for all the windows including the windshield. Or any alternatives if anyone has found rubber that isn't original that works. Or any details on the process to use newer rubber without the trim.

Thanks,

Jim

Jim, are you referring to the rubber inner/outer window sweeps? There are 2 styles, one is with the outer aluminum trim and the other is without. Door seals are available, if you need help getting anything just let me know. I can also get replacement glass run channel. cjbiagi@yahoo.com

not to step on your toes Clyde but for those that also need rubber products I was recommended Steele Rubber which has Monzas etc and may have yours also ..

Need every rubber thing there is. LOL. I have the glass and even have all that aluminum trim although if I have a choice to go with or without the trim I think I might like it better without.

I am getting back on this project after a long delay and after looking at the body work that still needs to be done I realize I am weeks if not months away from needing to install the windows.

Some people have had issues with weatherstrip specials, especially the glass run channel. I can get the inner/outer window sweeps, one piece glass run channel as well as the door seals. Only thing is I will not be able to do anything until the end of February or early march. If you or anyone is interested feel free to contact me. cjbiagi@yahoo.com

BTW, the windshield doesn't have a gasket or rubber. It's held in with a special caulking or butyl tape (tar rope)

Sorry to Necro this thread, but are there any more cost effective ways to get rubbers for these cars? After 20 years in a yard my rubbers are fried and I'm looking at over 500$ just in that. Doesn't have to be original, just has to seal the windows!
