Sagging doors, who sells new brass bushes?

Postby AussieMonza » Wed Sep 27, 2006 5:38 am

Need a set of new brass door bushes as a monza at work has the sagging door syndrome.

Who sells these bushes/sleeves?

Are they the same as Camaro, Nova etc from same era?

Found them, as per the archives
"John (vegadad) says:
"Chevrolet still offers Door Pins & Bushings for h-bodys. The Pins are part # 9655646 and retail at $9.00 ea., although I seem to remember they come two to a pack. The bushings are sold 10 per pack Part # 9822198 at about $20 per pack $2.00 ea"

i am not 100 % sure about the quality vs OEM. They appear to be the same as the ones I installed on my Vega , but that was 20 years ago so i can't be positive. I have not installed them on my monza yet.

I saw these on ebay today ..... the bushings in the OE kit look to be the same as ones in the bushing alone auctions. But then again this has the pins too.

Cheers for your help Greg, I just ordered a set of genuine ones thru Scoggin Dickey 10 for $17.40 and the ones on ebay were $4.00 for 8 so I'd say there made from different materials.

Think the genuine are brass and the ones on ebay are sintered bronze, dunno which is more durable and stronger though, we actually had stainless steel bushes and pins spun up for ours and there good as new for 16 years now.
