Jeff,

All you have to do is copy and paste it to the message. Might be in a box, but will still come out!

Is this correct ? I always thought that the equivalent of the A70-13 is 175/80-13...

I have a set of bfg t/a radials size 195/70/13. they have about half the tread on them and are just sitting in my shed. They are about 10 years old, but I wouldn't be afraid to use them. Zero dry rot. I'm surprised to hear they no longer make them. They fit the car well.
Any one can restore a car but, it takes a real man to cut one up.

Firestone "Firehawk Indy 500" 175/70/13 was listed on a factory website, but I can't locate them. Rumor is discontinued. Found 205/65/13 in an off-brand, but too short, and not really similar to the old Wide Ovals. The classic car tire stores start at 14" sizes.

Anybody (purist/originality types) been tire shopping lately ?

Firestone makes a P175/80R13 I have them on my 71 Vega Panel Express. 50 ea. (also in other 13 sizes)

Hi Gang try tires-easy.com(or.ca according to your location) I picked up 4 Dean Stinger GTS 205-60R-13 this summer just over 4 bills to my door in less than a week in Canada that is good in my experience with US to Canada shipping. They also show other tires National Renegade and they HAD Cooper Cobra's My experience was favourable. Now if I could just get some time to finish the car enough to try driving them!

A=load capacity. (R, if included=Radial.) 70=Aspect ratio. 13=wheel diameter. I don't have physical size info handy for these. I'll check a tire guide when I get to work tomorrow.

To find the diameter of a P-Metric tire by size, the math is section width divided by 25.4 to get this in inches. Then multiply that by the aspect ratio. Multiply that times 2 and add the wheel diameter. Or, for a 175/80/13, 175/25.4=6.9. 6.9x.8=5.52 5.52x2=11.04. 11.04+13" wheel= 24.04" tall.

In hindsight, I maybe should have used 187/70/13s instead of 205/50/13s.

Coker lists AR78 or BR70 as OE sizes. This chart from the Tire Rack looks a little helpful although not very complete:

FWIW, I finally took digital photos of my car today before heading to the paint shop. I logged in hoping to find news on a decal set, and front spoiler ends.
