He took those shots off my website (but he did mention my site further on, if I recall correctly).

Actually I didn't pick mine off any other site, they are pretty much my own pics from lit I have at home. The Nighthawk shots posted were given to me by the car's owner a few years back. I wish he'd get back to me about this car though. He never was timely with emails but never months later.

Brian
I assume all that is info I already got from you. When I gt home from work tomorow, I'll have to check to make sure i have it all, and I'll have to check that I have all those colour RPO Codes inputted in my RPO Code page.

Brian if you look at the pic with the 77 Free Spirit..The Buick in the background is white. The color difference between the two would make the Free Spirit the Silver/gray color. I think the color name changed from gray in 76 to silver apparently in 77 as the color code remains the same.

What I find interesting in the blue cloth interior. Looking at the production sheet it appears that there was not a single car produced with that interior. I think that would have been a pretty decent looking interior color especially with a blue car. The Accent a Color reminds me of the dealer built Mirage I looked at back in Lawton that had a Blue/White interior color combination. So was this option the same for the Monza?

Looks very similar to the 75 Form I have except I don't remember the 75 form having quite so many options. One thing that sticks out in my mind from seeing this form again is the fact the on the window sticker and dealer receipt I have on my Free Spirit is the fact that the options are all a 2 digit code instead of the normal 3 digit RPO code. Guess I never really pushed the issue back then looking over the 75 Form and the paperwork I had right in front of me.

The one obivous difference being the California testing option. I don't remember seeing that listed on the 75 form but seeing as 75 Hawk's were built in Canada there was probably no need for that option lol.

The scans of the window sticker and dealer receipt are on a computer that crashed so I am gonna see if I might still have the them else where. If not I will see if I can get them rescanned.

Just a slight detour from the Nighthawk and Free Spirit....But Brian did I ever show you this scan on the DL-1?

It shows it to be 76. I was thinking it was just 77 and 78. The decal on the hood appears different but I wonder if it was just the way it looks in the pic.

Oh I wouldn't know what that car is Brian... :?: :?:

I have a NOS decal for the left rear quarter of my Free Spirit. When I scored it I wasn't sure which decal I was getting because I didn't have all the decal numbers at the time. Also the guy I bought the decal from said he never opened the box and when I got it either he was clever with a blow dryer or he was telling the truth as the box was still sealed. Now I know which one it is though lol.

I would love to score a door decal for the Free Spirit. Regardless of the year since the door decals appear to be basically the same. When the time comes I know that Sloan has the color code info on the decals because I was in contact with a fellow that was restoring a Pace car Replica. I think he ended up painting the decal on instead of having a decal remade. I went looking for the email but I can't find it. I have lost several emails from around the time I picked up the Buick.

On a side note...One of the big reasons I am soooo interested in the Nighthawk is that I know of a grand score on some NOS parts strickly for the Nighthawk. :censored:

I have not given up hope yet I just hope that time and a little luck hold up for me.

Now interest has been sparked into that Firenza just down the road from me. I knew production was low but not that low. :? I need to go check it out and take some pics and see what I can do.

Money

Right now its the wrong time for me money wise. I have my hands wrapped around buying and replacing a transmission in another car so I can have 2 decent daily drivers. As well as getting my 72 C10 back on the road for various reasons.

It had nothing to do with David...Talked to him on the phone and if anyone is interested I would say go for it. I don't think he is trying to hide anything by any means.

I am watching the ebay auction closely though.
